The representative building was created between 1881 and 1884 by the Swiss architect Alfred Friedrich Bluntschli , who was a pupil of Semper , in the style of the neo-baroque and served Cornelius Wilhelm Heyl , his wife Sophie von Heyl to Herrnsheim (nee Stein) and their children as a palace , after the previously used as a residential building, the Heyls-Schlchen , had become too small. 2 Cornelius Wilhelm von Heyl bequeathed with his wife, the Baroness Sophie von Heyl, the building and the associated garden to the city of Worms. Note. 1The building was demolished in the spring of 1945 in an air raid and restored , only one-storey, with hipped roof . Since 1961 it has been open to the public again as the "Kunsthaus Heylshof Foundation".

Sehr schner historischer Ort, mit einem schnen Museum. Besonders zur Festspielzeit ist der Park schn geschmckt. Das Wasser der Wasserspiele ist rot eingefrbt. Es Symbolisiert das Drachenblut, in dem Siegfried gebadet hat. Abends ist der schn beleuchtet.
